Before I was born, Lady was The Best Dog Ever.
Lady was the dog who helped The Typist want to have a dog of her own. And so, when I showed up, she was ready to say yes.
Late last night, Lady went on. We don't really know how old she was, but The Alpha and The Typist knew her for about 11 thumb-haver years.
She was a Great, Great Dog.
Rest well, Lady.

I'm so sorry to hear this. Lady looks like a very sweet dog.
I am so glad that Lady paved the way for you.
I bet Lady has a very sweet after life.
I am sad for you and your thumb-havers' loss....
Prayers for all.
I am so sorry. What a good girl Lady must have been.
Lady has her golden tail.
sounds like she was a great dog who will be missed.
God bless Lady, and comfort those who loved her.
Blessings on all who loved her.
What a great Lady she must have been and what a blessing for the thumb-havers. God's blessings to you.
Cub, you need to tell everyone about the time Lady came to visit and you were both left in the kitchen for a few hours, and how you both made an escape and noted your displeasure with the situation. It was ... memorable.

Lady indeed was a very special dog, and I'm so glad she was able to come to my wedding!! She'll definitely be missed by many thumb-havers.
Dear Cub,
I am sorry your friend died. It is real sad. I hope you won't be sad for too long.
Lindy, that's my guardian, she told me that someday all us blog-dogs will be together wagging our little golden tails. I think that's where Lady went. She's preparing the way for you again.
I love you,
Rowan
I'm saddened to hear of this. Prayers...
Thank you all for your sweet comments. They made me cry, but I needed to do it.
This picture makes me sad too every time I see it because it is a perfect picture of Lady. She was always so hopeful and sweet and eager to please.
She only complained about a very small list of things: rain, fireworks, baths, and getting left. Well, sometimes she complained about being petted by the small Mullins thumb-havers, but her complaint was only to quietly walk away when they weren't looking.

Dog's add such a wonderful dimension to our lives. I know that Lady was a blessing to all who knew her.
